1st Date...

...actually got off to a weird start. Me and Cuddles decided to meet up at Rio Grande for some drinks...BUT, he ended up bringing a friend, who've I met before AND he was a little late. I got over it fast because I kind of like the Cuddles. So we all start off with Patron shots...yum...and yes already buzzed! It was great conversation...and it was actually cool that he had his friend there because Cuddles really makes me nervous. We talked about the reason that I got only cuddles the first night I went there. I had mentioned that I wanted to move to LA to pursue my career further...but I think he thought it would be sooner rather than later. So he didn't want to get involved with me if I was just going to leave. Completely understandable. But, it was a bunch of silly talk...and there was a girl there that had the most interesting laugh which was hilarious! Two Margaritas later for me, 2 Vodka/Tonics later for him, half eaten quesadilla and we were done! Man...I didn't know Patron was so potent. Haha. Well, I made the decision not to drive home, because I did drink a little roomie took Cuddles back to his car...and he came to pick me up! We ended up back at his place...talked...smooched and called it a night. Out of the friend zone my friend =p He did get up this morning at 4:30 and take me to work, which was nice!

Date today...not sure...nothing lined up so I'm kind of nervous...I'll let you know what I find out...

Picture of me and Cuddles...the camera man got a little close...must have been the Patron!

Warm-Up Date...

So, I thought I was starting the whole date thing last night...but I'll just call it a date with training wheels..haha! I ended up going to see Mr. Vollyball's match that night. BUT, i ran into a couple of the guys I've been hanging out with for the past 3 nights at the same time! One of them (I'll call him Miami) has definitely impressed me with his personality and I've gotten to know him a little better just from spending more time with him. Anyways, Volleyball's match finished and we all decided to head over to Taco Mac to grab some food. On the left side was Miami..and on the right was Mr. Volleyball! AHHH! I was soooo confused on which one to give more attention to more. It was cool because I hadn't seen Volleyball for a sec...but I was digging on Miami at the same time! It was a blast none the less, but Volleyball said he wanted to take me on a REAL date, which was sweet and I'm looking forward to. I paid for my meal, said my goodbyes and that was that. Volleyball text me to tell me that he was glad to see me! EEEK! I am so giddy!

Well this morning, both boys text me and I have to say I was pretty stoked about it. I think me and Miami will have a date before he leaves this weekend, which will be fun!

DATE 1: tonight! It's with cuddles...the guy who I hung out with a couple of times before. Even spent the night at his house and he was very respectful...didn't try anything, which I liked. I think tonight, it's either out for drinks or I'm going to bring food over to his new house and we'll have a you think I need to bring him a plant too for his new house?! Well I'll let you tomorrow what happens!

It's me and Miami! I'll have more pics up soon...(Mr. Volleyball won't be up until his date =p)

30 dates, 30 Guys...

...seems like fun right? I'm actually really nervous about it!! As most of you know, I just got out of a pretty long relationship about a month and a half ago. And I feel like I'm ready to put myself out there. I've never been that good of a dater; I'm kind of a one guy kinda girl. But this will be a new experience and one that I think I need to have in order to finally move on. Who knows, maybe even meet the man of my dreams! =p Tonight, I'm supposed to be going on with Mr. Volleyball. I'm crushing on this guy bad...haha! He's got a couple of matches to play today, but I did ask him to grab some food with me when he's done. We'll see if it happens. He said he had a hectic schedule today, but I think he can manage a little time right? =) I'm nervous and excited about this whole experience. I feel like I'm a boy...I have to do the asking out! AHHH! Haha! Well here I go. And wish me luck. I'll be updating you every day about the dates and how the guys are! Talk to y'all soon! =)

Melissa Talks Adventure (or lack thereof)

Remember the movie Mask? The main character, Rocky Dennis, was planning a European motorcycle trek with his best friend, but then was disappointed (albeit mortally) by his friend's decision to back out from the trip. We all thought at one point or another watching the movie how cool and freeing would it be to take a cross-country trip like that. Then we responded to ourselves somewhere in our brain, "But now I'm too old, or have too many responsibilities, or am too broke".....blah, blah, blah.

Melissa Names Her Cat

So I told you about my new kitty in another blog, and thank you to everyone who had some great suggestions. But the final choice is Nikko, and now he can stop sticking his tongue out at me for keeping him nameless for so long.

Quest To Date An A-lister...

Ok so everyone feels this way at some point, so im going to go ahead and admit it: I want to date an A-lister. Or some sort of lister. I'm single now, why not start off big? Haha.

These past couple of weeks doing "Who Do You Know" on The Bert Show got me thinking how fun it would be to actually date someone in Hollywood; even if it's just a week.

I know my previous blog said 'I need a thick skin...blah blah' and to be in tabloids you need to have one, but I think it would be fun. I'll develop one quick, I think.

Hi my name's Wendy. I work at Q100. I'm 22. Single. Who's on board for my quest? =)

Melissa Loves Being A Geek

Coming off the high of Iron Man this past weekend, George Takei called into the Bert Show for our "Who Do You Know?" contest. And despite the slight ribbing from my co-horts, I realized just how good it is to be a geek right now. Hollywood has totally embraced all-things comics, sci-fi, and fantasy which has resulted in my social calendar being inked with movie theatre appearances. Just take a look at the current list of what's coming out:
